The famous Vegetable Pie / Casserole

Due to popular demand, I'm posting the famous super simple pie recipe. E thinks it should be called casserole, but I'm not convinced. Maybe there is another word to name this dish. We ended up using feta and sour cream (this isn't what's called sour-cream in Israel - there we used "white cheese" גבינה לבנה), and it was good. I'm still not sure about the quantities, so bookmark this page for updates.

The quantities we used this time:

4 eggs

4 full spoons of simple flour

500 grams of sour cream (5% fat)

200 grams of feta (3.5% fat)

1 cup of scraped cheddar cheese (too much fat)

2 batches of broccoli (can be any vegetable - corn, cauliflower, leek, mushrooms, etc.)

I don't use salt and pepper, but some might thing it is tasteless without them.
E adds: we did add pepper :)

The short version: boil and cut vegetables. Mix everything together. Cook for 1 hour in 180 C, until there is brown crust.

The long version: Start with boiling the vegetables to get them soft (unless they are soft to begin with). While the vegetables are boiling mix in a bowel the other ingredients.

When the vegetables are soft enough (should take about 10 minutes), but not too soft, take them out. If you are not sure, it is better to use too soft vegetables than too hard. Cut them into small pieces (maximum dimension not more than 2 cm).

The stems of the broccoli are too hard, so I just eat them. Add the soft and cut vegetables to the bowl and mix well. Put in a baking dish and to the oven for 1 hour in 200 Celsius if you don't have turbo oven. If you do, 180C for 40 minutes.

1 chicken, cut into parts and without the skin. Other combinations of chicken parts can work too.
lots of paprica (at least a full spoon, maybe more) - we use sweet paprica since we don't eat hot food
pepper, salt
Soya sauce
Roots (potatoes, yam, carrot, onion, other exotic roots)

It is easier to handle if you chop some of the roots to large pieces.

Fry (broil?) the chicken in a pan a bit until it is white. Add the other ingredients and enough water to cover it all. After the water boils reduce temperature and leave to simmer for an hour.

Once it is ready filter the broth. It can be used as a basis for rice, pearl barley and such.
